In the flurry of Valentine’s Day messages of love and romance, Bottles & Corks, with the support of Guthrie, are building a different message of hope for their community. From January 24th to February 14th, Bottles & Corks will be promoting their Wall of Hearts campaign, where the wine and spirits store on Market Street, Corning, will be raising funds for the Guthrie Cardiac/Heart Fund, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
Customers will have the chance to contribute by choosing from a wide selection of romance-themed products, with proceeds of each sale going directly to the Fund. By contributing in this way, or making an outright donation, customers can leave a message of hope and encouragement on the Wall of Hearts. These messages will be delivered to Guthrie along with the total donation, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Mary Beth Grimaldi-Maxa, Co-owner and Operator of Bottles & Corks, is delighted to be spreading such a strong message of community togetherness during the Valentine’s season. “The Guthrie Cardiac/Heart Fund is available for education and support for patients right here in Steuben and Chemung counties. Their facilities directly serve Bottles & Corks’ customers, and we’re honored to support Guthrie in this way. Having grown up here, and serving on the Board of Directors at Corning Hospital, this campaign is dear to my heart. So let’s build that Wall of Hearts, everyone!”.
This year, the Guthrie Cardiac and Vascular Center received a very prestigious national quality award. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital has been rated a Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital Nationwide for the 9th time – one of only 10 hospitals in the nation to receive this award nine or more times since 2001 from Truven Health Analytics. The award represents the team efforts of 32 physicians, surgeons and advanced care practitioners who care for patients in 15 Guthrie locations across the Twin Tiers Region of New York and Pennsylvania.
So stop into Bottles & Corks, and leave your mark on the Wall of Hearts!!
